Rich MurphyRich Murphy, Planview Executive in Residence, is a financial and management authority specializing in cost control, running IT as a business, and operational efficiency.

Previously, Rich was a Managing Director with Deutsche Bank for 10 years, where he held the position of CFO for Global Technology and Operations and Support Divisions.

In this role, he oversaw a €6B budget that encompassed 23,000 employees responsible for more than 4,000 software applications; he controlled those functions responsible for processing, settling, and reconciling the bank’s business transactions; he ran the organization managing the bank’s data center, network, desktop support, and telecommunication functions; and was over Support for all cost areas, including legal, compliance, audit and global management.

Rich joined Deutsche Bank in 1998, after a 16-year career at AT&T where he held a variety of financial and operational leadership assignments. Experience prior to this includes a four-year auditing career with Price Waterhouse, where he earned his CPA certificate.

Rich earned his Bachelor of Science degree, with honors, in Accounting at Villanova University in Pennsylvania in 1979, and attended Carnegie Mellon University’s Executive Education program in 1991. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Previously, Brad served as Senior Vice President of Program Management for USAA, a Fortune 200 fi nancial services company serving 6+ million United States military members and their families. Responsible for executive leadership for IT projects, he led a US $500M, 3,000+ global software developer organization executing more than 400 projects per year, returning in excess of US $1B of tangible value to USAA. Prior to this, Brad was USAA's Senior Vice President of Information Technology, in which position he held led successful implementation efforts for many USAA strategic technology efforts. Before joining USAA, Brad held progressive leadership positions with the United States Air Force, Computer Data Systems, and Robbins Gioia.

Brad earned his Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Bowling Green State University in 1988, and his Master of Arts in Computer Information Resource Management from Webster University in 1993.
